Piotr Ciereszko
Born in the village of Potashnia, situated between Miory and Druya, on 17 April 1921. He went to school in Potashnia. He completed four forms and discontinued education for financial reasons. He worked from his early childhood, e.g., he tanned sheep skins at a Tartar’s family. He married in 1942. In 1944, he was called up to the Polish army and sent to the western front. In May 1945, he entered Berlin. He came back home in August 1945. After the war he avoided work at the kolkhoz, he worked at a mill for 20 years, and for another 12 years at a fruit and vegetable collection point. He lives with his wife in Miory. He has two daughters, both live in the Ukraine.
