Born in Drohobych on 7 August 1931. His father worked as head of an office for registering residents. In 1939, Władysław Aurzecki finished the first form of a Polish primary school. He spent the war and occupation in his hometown, where he continued learning. His family did not repatriate to Poland, because his parents waited for his brother Władysław Aurzecki who was missing on the front and has never been found. After the war Władysław Aurzecki started to work at an experimental enterprise and married. In 1978, he went to Poland for the first time to visit his wife’s relative. He visited Poland several times in the following years. In 1986, he retired. Now he lives in Drohobych with her daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
