Born in Pinsk on 12 January 1928. Before World War II she completed four forms of a Polish primary school. Her father was a craftsman and a teacher at the Jewish Craftsman’s School, her mother took care of the house. Albina Smołko together with her family spent the whole war in Pinsk. After the second entry of the Soviets to Pinsk she started learning at a tailor’s school. Her parents did not decide to go to Poland because of her mother’s illness, and Albina Smołko stayed with them to take care of them. After marriage she took care of the house and the kids; for a few years she worked at a local dairy. She now lives in Pinsk.
